Easy teriyaki Sauce
A sweet, garlicky Japanese marinade and sauce that is ready in 10 minutes.
for the sauce
- 70 g dark brown sugar
- 70 ml dark soy sauce
- 20 g ginger grated
- 1 clove garlic crushed
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or white wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 350 ml water
- 1 tbsp cornflour
- 1 tbsp water
Put all of the ingredients for the sauce in a small saucepan.
Stir until the sugar has dissolved over a medium heat.
Cook for 5 minutes.
Cool, if using as a marinade, then keep in the fridge.
For a sauce, combine the cornflour and water together and stir through while heating until thickened.
